Meet the Administrators

Principal- Angela Harris

Hello and Welcome to Potomac Elementary School. It is an honor and privilege to serve as the Principal of the Potomac Elementary School family. I lead a very dedicated and determined staff who work diligently to ensure that your child makes academic progress. I have the best job in the world. Everyday, I get to mold and watch children learn and grow as a person!

I am originally from Montross, Virginia where I graduated from Washington and Lee High School. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Longwood College and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Commonwealth University. Later earned a Post Master Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University.

I have taught kindergarten, first and third grade before venturing into administration. I have spent the past sixteen years in King George County serving as an Assistant Principal at Potomac Elementary and King George Elementary. For the past five years, I have served as the Principal of Potomac Elementary School. My favorite time of the day is greeting the students as they enter the building ready to learn. You can feel the positive energy as the students stroll through the hallways. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my two children.

Assistant Principal- Casey Nice

Hello! I am very excited to begin my first year as Assistant Principal at Potomac Elementary School. I look forward to joining the Potomac family and contributing to the school’s many successes.

I am originally from Vinton County, Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English from Ohio University. I moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia in 2005 and earned a Master of Education degree from the University of Mary Washington in 2010. In May 2016, I earned an Education Specialist degree and a Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University.

I spent my first three years in Virginia working in a private school, where I taught students in grades 2-12. In 2008, I began teaching special education at Massaponax High School. I have spent the previous three years as the Secondary Program Specialist for King George County Schools and am excited to bring my knowledge of special education and differentiated instruction to Potomac Elementary. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my dog,
Ziggy, and watching Ohio State football.

I am looking forward to a great school year and can’t wait to meet and work with our students and their families in order to help students continue to grow academically and socially.
