distributed to Grade Level Chairs and Vertical Math Team representatives




Math Resources from the VA DOE

  1. Math Curriculum Framework (Essential understandings, knowledge, skills, processes for teaching English, from the VA DOE.)
  2. Math Student Performance Analysis (Analysis of statewide student performance on 2014 SOL tests. Useful for guiding instruction to identify areas of need to increase student understanding.)
  3. Mathematics ESS (Math Enhanced Scope & Sequence) Lesson Plans (Mathematics Enhanced Scope and Sequence (ESS) Sample Lesson Plans help teachers align instruction with the 2009 Mathematics Standards of Learning (SOL) by providing examples of how the knowledge and skills found in the SOL and curriculum framework can be presented to students in the classroom.)
  4. CAT Testing (2016-2017, students taking the grades 3-6 mathematics test will be administered a computer adaptive version of the Standards of Learning (SOL) test)
